Immigration law in English and Spanish

Your immigration case, one clear step at a time

I'm Ariadna Valderrama, an immigration lawyer in Maryland and D.C. I take a small number of cases, so you talk to me, not a call center, and you get every next step in writing.

  • Admitted in Maryland and D.C.
  • Montgomery and Prince George's counties
  • Baltimore and Sterling immigration courts
  • Detention calls answered 24/7

Ariadna Valderrama

Immigration lawyer and founder

I read every form the way a client has to: slowly, with a deadline in mind.

I handle green cards for families, removal defense and asylum for people across Montgomery and Prince George's counties. I meet clients in English and in Spanish, and I'll say so in the first meeting if your case belongs with another lawyer.

Selam Worku keeps your calendar and your document list, so nothing waits on me to be found.

What I take

  • Green cards and family petitions
  • Removal defense
  • Asylum

Admitted

  • Maryland, 2015

  • District of Columbia, 2017

Lawyers, not notarios

Check who is filing your case

In many countries a notario is a lawyer. In the United States a notary public isn't, and fraud against immigrants often starts there.

A notary public can witness a signature. A notary can't give legal advice, pick your forms or speak for you before an immigration judge. Only a lawyer, or an accredited representative of a recognized organization, can.

  • Ask for the lawyer's full name and bar number.
  • Look the number up on the state bar's website.
  • Walk away from anyone who promises a result or a date.

How I help

Three kinds of case, taken one at a time

If yours is something else, I'll tell you who to call.

  • Green cards and family petitions

Spouses, parents and children: the petition, the interview and the answer to a letter asking for more.

    Green card cases
  • Removal defense

A notice to appear, a detained relative or a hearing date: what it means and what can be asked of the judge.

    Removal defense
  • Asylum

A written account, evidence from home and a filing made before the deadline.

Notes from clients about their cases

“Ariadna wrote down every date and every document before we filed. When the interview letter came, I knew exactly what to bring.”

Kidist T.Spouse petition

“They explained the court notice in Spanish, slowly, and told me what the judge would ask. I didn't feel alone in the room.”

Wilmer R.Removal hearing

“My declaration took four meetings. Each time Ariadna told me what we had finished and what was left.”

Arely G.Asylum application

Each client's case is different. These sample comments say nothing about the result of yours.
