Questions

First questions, answered

Can I explain my case in Spanish?

Yes. Ariadna meets clients and writes documents in Spanish and English. Selam speaks English and Amharic. If you need another language, tell us when you book and we'll arrange an interpreter.

Is this a law firm or a notary?

A law firm. Ariadna is a licensed lawyer, and her bar admissions are on the About page so you can check them.

Can you promise my case will be approved?

No, and be careful of anyone who does. The government decides. I can tell you how strong your case looks and what would make it stronger.

I got a notice to appear. What now?

Don't ignore it, and don't throw it away. The hearing date on it is real. Call and bring it to the meeting with every other paper you've received.

What does a case cost?

It depends on the case. I put my fee and the government's filing fees in writing after the consultation, and nothing is filed before you've agreed.

Does the government hear what I tell you?

What you tell me is confidential. A filing is different: once something is sent to the government, the government has it. That's why we decide together what gets filed.

My relative lives in another state. Can you still help?

Often, yes. We meet by phone or video, and immigration law is federal. If a court or an office near you needs a local lawyer, I say so up front.

A question we missed?

Send it with your phone number and Selam will set up a time to talk.
